Agency Recognition Awards – Submit your Nomination now!

It’s time for a quarterly cycle of two agency recognition awards – The Values at Work Award and the Leadership Award.  These awards symbolize the work of staff to create impact for our clients, fellow staff members, purchasers and the communities we serve.  Winners will receive up to $50 worth of FCC swag (logo items like drink cups, wearables, etc.) of their choice.

Nomination forms are available at any time on the Depot and can be found in the All Agency section of Documents and Forms under Resources, and are also linked below.

The Values at Work Award is given to an employee who has demonstrated an outstanding example of one or more of our Values on the job.  All staff (excluding Leadership Team members) are eligible for the Values at Work Award.

FCC’s Values:

  • Excellence: Pursues knowledge, new skills, seeks feedback from peers, supervisors.
  • Innovation: Makes innovative suggestions and tries new approaches within own area of work; seeks and listens to the ideas of others.
  • Respect: Shows understanding, tact and concern for others; treats everyone with dignity; encourages others to express their opinions.  Demonstrates an appreciation for diversity and works to understand the perspective of others.
  • Responsibility: Accepts personal responsibility for actions and does not shift blame to others; uses financial and material resources prudently; actively contributes to the development of team/program goals and works toward their accomplishment.
  • Responsiveness: Demonstrates an appropriate sense of urgency; prioritizes work effectively; does whatever it takes to assure client/purchaser satisfaction.

Nominations for this Award must be submitted by a member of the Leadership Team but can, and should, be influenced by employees in any position or location. If you “recognized” an outstanding example of our Values on the job, tell your supervisor about it! If you are a supervisor, write it up!

The Leadership Award is given to one or two members of the leadership team (all supervisors and coordinators excluding members of the senior team). The award recognizes a leader who has demonstrated – through specific example(s) – one or more of a leader’s duties and responsibilities as stated in the FCC Leader’s Role Description:

  • Be an agent of change and innovation
  • Facilitate the growth of staff and programs
  • Communicate effectively, efficiently and with purpose
  • Promote services and programs to staff, partners, community stakeholders, clients and families
  • Creates impact for clients or purchasers
  • Doing innovative (new/different) things in response to external and internal challenges

Nominations for the Leadership Award are open to all staff, and the leader nominated does not have to be your own – she or he can be a leader from another program or location.

All nominations are due to Rich Petro by noon on Thursday, March 9th. Winners will be notified the following week.
