All proceeds benefit FCC’s Hope Academy, an alternative school for pregnant and parenting teens where they bring their child to school with them in order to achieve a high school credential and learn how to raise a healthy child. People exposed to prolonged periods of shortened sleep have significant increases in blood pressure during nighttime hours, Mayo Clinic researchers report. During sleep, the immune system releases proteins called cytokines which helps us deal with stress, fight infections and decrease inflammation in the body.
