Winter Weather – UPDATE

The forecast temperatures are continuing to show a definite dip for the next two days, bottoming out Wednesday night and Thursday morning. In watching the coming cold weather the senior management team has decided to have a delayed start each of the next two days. On Wednesday and Thursday, January 30 and 31, operations for FCC locations will begin at 10 a.m. instead of 8 a.m., excluding the Youth Home and Hiawatha Hall which must continue to operate.  The later start should help ease your exposure to the cold temperatures. As always, you still have the option to take vacation hours instead of working if you have concerns about being out and about.  Our work from home requirements remain in place and are unchanged.

The agency will provide Holiday Pay to employees scheduled to work at the Youth Home and Hiawatha Hall for those 2 hours on each day, as well as 2 hours of Holiday Pay for those working afternoon  and evening shifts at those locations.

As always, you are encouraged to discuss work and time arrangements with your supervisor in advance. If you still have questions please speak with your director.

Please take care during this cold spell!
