Family & Children’s Center will be supporting a variety of suicide awareness and prevention activities during this nationwide effort. In the United States, suicide claims the lives of more people than homicide and HIV combined. In addition, 1 million adults attempt suicide every year. Suicide touches everyone— all ages and backgrounds, all racial and ethnic groups, in all parts of the country.
We should all take pride in being part of an organization that can play an important role in the cycle of prevention. Let’s start with wearing yellow on the next three Fridays.
