This week is our kick off for our United Way Campaign which runs through October 27th. Sarah G. will be coming around to your team meetings to talk to you about what United Way does to support Family & Children’s Center and how you can help to reach our goal during the campaign.
We are very thankful for the support we receive from Great Rivers United Way that helps fund the following programs:
Health Families
Hope Academy
Outpatient
Stepping Stones
The Other Door
Domestic Abuse Project (DAP)
These programs are largely reliant on the generosity of private donors and grants for funding. Through the grants from Great Rivers United Way, Family & Children’s Center receives just over $200,000.00 in support.
As a partner agency, we definitely want to support the United Way for the helps it provides us as well as many other worthy recipients in our communities. This year we are asking people to join us in supporting the campaign by filling out a pledge form, and ideally pledging $1 a week for a $52 annual donation. For this you will receive a coupon book to area businesses and will be entered into their raffle. Donations will be deducted from your paycheck starting in January 2018.
As a further incentive, we are playing BINGO to add some fun and a few extra dollars to our own campaign. The winner will receive 50 percent of the proceeds per BINGO game and the other half will go to United Way. Please check the Depot daily at 11 a.m. for the daily numbers!
