Town Hall Meeting Follow Up

As promised, here are the notes from yesterday’s Town Hall meeting! I want to begin by apologizing for the poor sound quality we all experienced during the Zoom Town Hall meeting. Obviously, that was not the plan…but I appreciate that most of you hung in there as there was lots of exciting news shared. Please find below all the items shared during the meeting. As always, if you have any questions, simply reach out…

  • Ascentis– Our timekeeping system is being replaced because our current system was bought out by another company and system support will soon no longer be available. Led by Ann McDonald our CFO, a group of individuals have been vetting a large number of products for consideration. We will continue to keep everyone posted.
  • Procentive- Our EHR system will also be replaced in the coming year. Again, led by Ann McDonald our CFO, software will be explored and opportunities to provide feedback related to the project will be requested.
  • April Financials 2023 – they show an agency wide monthly operational gain of $5,093, however a YTD loss of $102,920. We discussed the agency’s response to programs that have gains and those that have experienced losses, indicating they will participate in a 90-day sprint. This 90-day financial sprint will look at the challenges, identify interventions and follow the department’s progress. For Q2, MN- Outpatient, Day Treatment, Hiawatha Hall and all CSP’s, will participate in a 90 day sprint.
  • Dress Code Reminder- Please dress professionally for your position, paying close attention to the procedure. It is sometimes easier in the summer to become a bit lax, but in most cases shorts, tank tops, strappy dresses and flip flops are not acceptable.
  • Bridges to Better Tomorrows- Nov 1st, put it on your calendar! FCC’s fundraising event. All are invited.
  • La Crosse’s Administrative site has found a new home! 811 Monitor Street

As a part of the Strategic Plan we have been looking at all of our sites. One of the conclusions reached was that the GVC site in LaCrosse  has been underutilized. The GVC building has approximately 40.5K sq ft. FCC only needs approximately 25.5K sq ft of space following a space assessment study by ISG, a local architecture firm. We considered several options – including maintaining the status quo and making no change, demolishing GVC & building on the same site, sell GVC and buy/renovate or build a new building. An ad hoc committee was formed following approval by the board in January and the committee reviewed all options. After careful consideration, FCC will enter into a purchase agreement with the owners of the building, located at 811 Monitor Street. Assuming we secure financing and satisfactorily complete our due diligence, we will become the owners in thirty (30) days. This purchase aligns with the Guiding Principles we had identified  as we began this project – Proximity, Flexibility and Experience. I have attached a copy of the link to the video to show you how the building currently looks. Link: https://youtu.be/Nuc3QZTsTVo

  • I am offering four (4) listening sessions to get input. They are as follows: June 7 @ 8:00am, 10:00 am, 3pm and June 9th @ 2:30pm. All in the John Burgess room
  • We are in the process of hiring an architecture firm to help with the design, thus your feedback will be helpful.
  • Our hope is to move/relocate within the next year
  • The GVC building will be put up for sale
  • Currently, there are no plans for a capital campaign

Again, I apologize for the sound issues. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
