Riverside Corporate Wellness Fit Bit

We mow the grass. It grows back and we must mow it again. We clean the house and the dust and clutter returns and we must clean it again. We do our laundry. Then we wear those clothes, use those towels, and sleep on that bedding and we must launder those items again. We fill up the gas tank and change the oil and after so many miles we must repeat the process. We can never mow once, clean once, do laundry once or fill the gas tank once. They require constant upkeep.

Each and every one of these things requires an investment of time, effort and financial resources yet, we realize that maintaining them is important. And anything worth doing is worth it being done properly otherwise, really, what’s the point? Sometimes we opt for a quicker or simpler version butwe know we can’t do that every time or things would quickly fall into a state of disrepair.

Apply that to our own being. We too require upkeep. It needs to occur every day. And what is more important than our own health? Quick and simple is better than not at all but when we are talking about the most important part of our life, our health, why would we mess around with improper?! A little extra effort can really go a long way.

Relate that to your exercise expenditure, your nutritional intake, and the quality of your sleep. Those need attention every single day. When you give that your attention on a daily basis, there are no mountains to climb or roadblocks to overcome. If you invest your time and effort in getting a regular dose of exercise, preparing nutritious meals, and rejuvenating with good sleep habits, you are helping to maintain a healthier state of being.

  • Once you recognize the extra financial investment in selecting quality food items is valuable and worthwhile, you are supporting your health from its very core.
  • Once you dedicate energy to exercise your body, you are actually reenergizing your physical structure to better withstand illness and metabolic decline.
  • Once you create and stick to a sound routine for sleep, you are supporting your mind and body for greater stamina.
  • Ultimately, you are buying yourself time. If not more; better.

Exercise, nutrition, and sleep are within your control. Grab control now; before it is no longer yours to grab. Refuse to take shortcuts and decline to behave with neglect. Take 100% responsibility and make zero excuses. The difference is a life in color rather than merely in shades of gray.
