Reminder – We want to hear from YOU!

You’ll notice a couple significant changes in this year’s employee survey. The most obvious one is that we will use our own survey tool as we have traditionally done. We had utilized the Great Place To Work survey the past 2 years was to certify FCC as a Great Place To Work (GPTW). Having done that, we highlighted the certification in job ads and the website. We did not, however, see a notable uptick in applicants as a result. At the end of the day, we determined that the expense involved did not justify continuing with the GPTW survey.

Second, we made an effort to shorten the time it takes to complete the survey by reducing the number of questions. You will notice, though, a heightened focus on workplace culture. We really want to make your time at FCC a great experience, and we look forward to your advice to help us do that.

For those of you who may have joined FCC in the last year or so, here is what you should know:

  • Once each year we poll FCC staff for their perspective on a number of issues with the intent of identifying opportunities to improve the employment experience
  • Our most valuable source of insight about the employment experience is YOU – whether you just got here or have been here 10 years your input is key to this process
  • Individual answers are anonymous – your comments are an important component of this project – but we won’t know who they came from

The link below will take you to this year’s on-line survey. There are only 12 questions so it won’t require much of your time to complete the survey. Most questions are multiple choice, and another handful are open-ended questions. All of them, however, include an opportunity to include your comments regarding the question at hand as well as your answer.  I encourage you to make good use of the “comments” opportunities – the background provided helps us better understand the ratings.

The survey will close on Thursday, June 26th. Last year’s participation rate was 62% – you think we will be able to top that? It definitely won’t happen without your help, so thanks in advance for your participation and I look forward to sharing the results with you!
