REMINDER: Annual Diversity & TIC Training Due by 12/31/16

Reminder: All FCC employees are required to complete a diversity and trauma informed care training each calendar year. Employees may not complete the same diversity or TIC training each year (for example: an employee may not complete the same Relias course year after year).

Diversity infuses richness and nurtures strength in the workplace whether with co-workers or the clients/consumers in our programs, focusing on respect for all human differences, including age, cultural, ethnic, racial, international, linguistic, gender, socioeconomic, educational, religious, sexual orientation, and ability. Any training that covers at least one of these areas is acceptable to meet the diversity training requirement.

Trauma impacts us ALL! Some of us are survivors, family members, service providers, co-workers or supervisors of individuals who have been impacted. The goal of requiring FCC employees to take a TIC training annually is to build skills, knowledge and awareness in order to respond effectively and appropriately to various aspects of child, adolescent and adult trauma on introductory, intermediate and advanced levels. If you have any questions on what trainings are acceptable for this requirement or if you are having trouble finding a TIC training to attend please contact Mckenzie Scoville at mscoville@fccnetwork.org or 608-785-0001 ext. 278.

A variety of different diversity and TIC training’s are available on Relias and can be accessed through the Relias Learning Catalog. Click here for info on a great TIC training opportunity.
