Program Name Update:

We are pleased to share that the Sober Living House has officially been named Lotus House.

This name was thoughtfully selected to reflect the spirit and purpose of the program. Across many cultures, the lotus symbolizes resilience, renewal, and growth. It emerges from challenging environments yet rises to bloom, representing the process of overcoming adversity and moving forward with strength and clarity.

The name Lotus House aligns closely with the journey of our participants, one defined by transformation, stability, and continued progress. It also provides a more hopeful and affirming identity that reflects how we present this work to participants, partners, and the broader community.

This update also creates consistency across our housing programs. The name complements Iris House, which supports CSP participants experiencing housing instability, helping establish a more cohesive and intentional naming approach.

What this means for staff:

  • Please begin using “Lotus House” in all communications, documentation, and conversations moving forward.
  • Update any materials, references, or templates where applicable.
  • If you are unsure whether something needs to be updated, connect with your supervisor or HR.

Looking ahead, we will be launching a Mother’s Day community campaign, including a virtual “Nesting” event, to support and bring awareness to Lotus House. Additional details will be shared soon.
