As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing skills to Day Treatment clients in the community, usually in their home or at school.
What are the primary responsibilities of this Mental Health Practitioner position?
- Assessing functionality
- Developing rehabilitative treatment plans
- Maintaining client file documentation in accordance with DHS licensing standards
- Crisis prevention and de-escalation
- Medication monitoring
- Working with residents toward goals in mental health recovery in group and individual formats
Education
- Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner by having a bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least 2000 hours of supervised experience with services to youth with mental illness, or 6,000 hours of such experience.
