Nominations needed for Leadership and Values at Work Awards

Leadership Award graphicDo you recognize a great leader when you see one?

I mean literally recognize…as in nominate her or him for the FCC Leadership Award!  Nominations can be submitted at any time by any staff member, but for the next cycle nominations need to be received by Tuesday, May 31st.  All Leadership Team members (excluding the senior team) are eligible for the award. This essentially includes anyone with “Supervisor” or “Coordinator” in their title.

This award is given out two times each year to a leader who has demonstrated one or more of a leader’s duties and responsibilities as stated in the Leader’s Role Description:

  • Be an agent of change and innovation
  • Facilitate the growth of staff and programs
  • Communicate effectively, efficiently and with purpose
  • Promote services and programs to staff, partners, community stakeholders, clients and families

Additional considerations:

  • Creates impact for clients or purchasers
  • Doing innovative (new/different) things in response to external and internal challenges

Nomination forms can be found here under the Resources tab. Nominations should be submitted to Rich Petro, and can be turned in as hard copies or sent via email. Again, nominations for the next round are due Tuesday, May 31st.

Speaking of Recognition….

While we are on the subject, you should know the Values at Work cycle for another quarter is about to wrap. The award is given for outstanding examples of our values at work and is given four times each year.  It is open to all staff other than Leadership Team members.  While nominations for the Values at Work award must be submitted by a Leadership Team member, nominations can – and should – be influenced by staff who bring great contributions to the attention of their leader.

Values at Work nominations for this cycle are by are due by Tuesday May 31st so if you have somebody in mind tell your supervisor!
