New Employees September 28

Maddie Hawke   Monitor, Supervised Visitation

Maddie has over three years of day care experience, so she is confident that work serving young people is where her interest lies, but she wanted a change of pace from that line of work. She initially looked on google which led her to our site and the Monitor position. She is completing her Social Work degree at Winona State. In her spare time Maddie has gotten into boxing. Yes, boxing! She tells us it is hard work but a good release.

Elizabeth Kapanke   Administrative Assistant, Respite

Elizabeth has been doing book work for her family’s business while raising three kids. The kids are all in school now so she was looking for interesting but flexible work so she can balance her desire for work with duties at home. She has a degree in Marketing from UWL but has no interest in that work and would rather handle detailed things. In addition to being one of three “Elizabeth’s” in her family – which can make for an interesting holiday gathering! – she is a golf lover and even played on her HS team.

Savanna Perkins   Monitor, Safe Visitation

Savanna was referred to FCC by the friend of a friend who suggested that Monitor work would be something that allowed her to get some experience as well as balance class schedules with the work. She was attracted by all of the work we do at the agency and thrives on seeing people change. Savanna goes to WSU and is pursing Communication with a minor in Psychology, but thinking about the possibility of switching those. Savanna spent her first 16 years in Florida and isn’t sure she is suited for our cold winters. Oh, and all three children in her family have a first name that starts with “S”!

Holly Ives   Case Manager, Day Treatment

Holly is originally from Winona but has only recently returned to the area, She went to school in Mankato and ended up working there for a few years after finishing her degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She did not get lost in her family growing up – she has one younger brother and therefore not a lot of people to blame! Holly has a dog named Penelope, and loves to hike so she will be in a good region for that.

Gayle Kleven   Case Manager, CSP Black River Falls

Gayle comes to FCC with an amazing background. She had 9 years’ experience in the Madison school district working with special needs kids, before moving to Arcadia where in addition to working she attended Chippewa Valley Tech and received an Associates in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. Gayle eventually earned her Bachelor’s in Addiction Studies from Viterbo…but you should know that she pursued her school work over a number of years while also raising three boys and dealing with some significant medical and life issues. Definitely a determined person!  Gayle enjoys riding her E bike so you may see her riding around with a small dog. If you do, say hello to Hank!
