Megan Kisner Intake Specialist, Winona Administration
Megan was looking for opportunities on Indeed when she found FCC. She completed her BSW at Winona State and was looking for a role that would get her out in the community. Megan was actually looking for an executive assistant role when she found this and felt it was just the combination she was looking for! She is originally from a suburb of the Cities, and you probably don’t know she is an avid knitter. She considers herself avid because she typically has several projects going at once. Probably a good person to know as winter is approaching!
Brooke Stueve Community Health Worker, Winona HUB
Brooke (last name pronounced like Stewie but with a V) is a Winona native, and is certified in Counseling and Substance Abuse. She originally attended RCTC and can tell you about the pitfalls of transferring schools and giving up credits! Brooke is a mom to two young kids – a boy and a girl – and has had a number of jobs before coming to FCC. Those gigs have taught her resilience which will come in handy in her role in HUB. If you think her makeup looks pretty good you should know she started a business to do makeup and has been engaged to do wedding parties and other events.
Cate Myer Monitor, Safe Visitation
Cate is a senior at Winona State studying Psychology. Her first two years were spent at Marquette (she is from the Milwaukee area) but after visiting a friend in Winona and getting to know the area she decided to transfer. She had been working at La Crescent schools and is confident she wants to continue working with kids so she is looking forward to working in Safe Visitation. Cate tells us she may be the world’s best Taylor Swift fan and has been since she was 4.…she even got a tattoo in Taylor’s handwriting!
Brianna Varsho Skilled Development Specialist, Respite Drop In Center
Brianna learned about FCC from a job fair at UWL (way to go Kelli!), and while she was initially attracted by the bright green bags, she was intrigued by the work we do with kids. As a Developmental Psychology major she wants to focus on working with a younger population and liked what she learned on our website. Brianna is from the Marshfield area – I know, another Packers fan – and her secret skill is the alphabet. Anyone can recite it, but if you see her ask her to say it backwards and you will be impressed!
