Montanna Holliday Monitor, Safe Visitation
Eryn P was instrumental in getting Montana to apply after seeing her post on a Facebook page for babysitting – good job Eryn! She is finishing her degree at WSU in Elementary Education and working as a Monitor will be a benefit. Montana is from Sparta and still works at a day care facility there. She is also a middle child so expect her to get along with everyone!
Kimberly Kopp Skills Development Specialist, Respite Drop-In Center
Kimberly will be working at the Respite Drop-In Center at Weston so you may not see her often. She is majoring in Psychology at UWL and used to live on State Street so she was familiar with FCC. Kimberly also worked for about a year at a facility serving clients on the autism spectrum prior to joining FCC. If you see her hopefully you will note that she is kinda graceful…she studied ballet for 15 years!
Hailey Hopkins Mental Health Rehab Worker, Hiawatha Hall
Hailey is originally from Pine River, Minnesota (I don’t know where that is) near Brainerd (I know where that is!) She has work experience with Touchstone Mental Health, and was recently admitted to WSU’s Psychology program which brought her to Winona. Hailey is also a middle child, but everyone is pretty nice at Hiawatha Hall so she will fit in no matter what!
Jake Swenson Direct Care Staff, Day Treatment
If Jake looks familiar to you it’s because has was an intern for Day Treatment for the past several months. He will graduate in May from WSU with a degree in Criminal Justice. Jake comes from a large family – he has 5 siblings! He is also a computer whiz and likes building them so feel free to quiz him with a technical question!
Tara Kowalke Clinical Supervisor, Winona Programs
Tara comes to us as an experienced social worker, having directed clients to available services in their community. Tara most recently worked for Houston County as the lead social worker in Child Protective Services, and is a licensed Therapist. Tara is from the Baraboo area, but you should know she also spent some time in Key West. That time included hurricane Katrina in 2005, but at least she was in Key West!
Sherry Soulier Monitor, Safe Visitation
Sherry lives in Lewiston, and had been the assistant cook at the high school for eight years until COVID hit. We all know that caused many things to go to virtual versus in-person and, unfortunately, also eliminated many related positions. Sherry found FCC while looking through Indeed, and was truly impressed with the many forms of intervention provided by the agency. Sherry loves a good road trip, and is especially fond of travelling to St. Louis where she visits family.
Kva Wajer Direct Care Staff, The Other Door
Kva found us on Indeed (pronounced KA va) and she comes to FCC from Viroqua. She is originally from Milwaukee. Kva has worked for VARC and is very knowledgeable of our work and clients. Additionally, she reports that the Viroqua area has a strong recovery community and she is looking forward to her work at The Other Door. While some of her time locally is dedicated to being with family in the area, she really likes the outdoors. Kva leads women’s wilderness experiences including anything from camping to kayaking!
