Sierra Peters Case Manager, Day Treatment
Sierra recently moved to Winona from Mankato to attend grad school. She found FCC on Handshake and was looking for an opportunity to work with children since she already had experience with an older population. Sierra is originally from a small town north of the Cities. She has a calico cat named Cali (she knows that’s not too creative!) and played shortstop on her HS softball team!
John Thornton-Weyrauch Skills Development Specialist, Integrated Solutions
A Land O Lakes, WI native, John is a Psych major from UWL, and he has one of the most compelling stories about choosing FCC. Sure we do the kind of work he was looking for, and we are a known entity being so close to campus, but the real factor for him was that we got back to him before the other places where he applied!!! In his spare time John loves to cook – one of his specialties is meatballs!
Chevana Vang Administrative Assistant, Respite
Chevana is originally from Holmen and is fully Hmong bi-lingual, having previously worked as a Culture Specialist assisting members of the Hmong community at Cia Siab. Chevana is looking to finish her psych program at UWL. Although she is athletic – played tennis for 4 years in HS – she also loves to read so you may catch her in the library!
Barb Lund Nurse, Community Support Program, La Crosse
Barb initially came to the area to play volleyball at UWL, and received a degree in Community Health. Having a passion for working with individuals she then received her nursing degree in Eau Claire and eventually came back to Gundersen to work on their new inpatient behavioral health unit. A life-long learner she also received a MS in Organizational Leadership. Barb loves a variety of outdoor activities, but you should know here first love is baseball – along with two other girls she was in the first group of females to play little league baseball in her town!
