Ron Gramling Mental Health Rehab Worker, Hiawatha Hall
If Ron looks familiar its because he is a returning employee…his prior stint was working overnights at the Youth Home for nearly 8 years. He is originally from Holmen and now lives in Onalaska. Ron has been an artist for many years, and continues to work nights as it allows him to work on his painting during the day. We’re not talking finger paints….but if you google him you can learn more.
Lisa Clarkin Administrative Assistant, Healthy Families La Crosse
Lisa is coming back to the workforce after being at home the past few years. The flexibility of this part time position really appealed to her and seemed to be a great way for her to transition to working outside the home. The outside the home part is intentional as Lisa has 5 girls – ages 2, 6, 7, 10 and 12 so she is not a stranger to work. Although she does not have much free time these days Lisa is a photography buff, and really like portraiture…not kids, though!
Jackie Miller Case Manager, CSP Viroqua
Jackie is a Viroqua native, and recently completed her BSW at Winona State. She was a Mental Health Technician at CSP La Crosse for a while during the time she was finishing her degree so if you recognize her that’s why! Jackie gets kudos for referring a friend and classmate to FCC – Emily S-J…more on her later! She raises chickens for the eggs but not the meat. Don’t get between her and peanut butter, though.
Macy Curtis Administrative Assistant, CPS La Crosse
Macy has a varied background that includes a stint as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) as well as having been an intern at our Youth Home. She recently completed her degree in Psychology at UWL and came to La Crosse from a small town near Richland Center. OK, its called Blue River…there were only 36 kids in her high school! And on top of that she has a 110 pound St. Bernard that takes her for walks.
Janessa Buddenhagen Case Manager, CSP La Crosse
If you see a car with Alaska plates it is one of ours…. Janessa is a La Crosse native, but she spent the past couple years in Alaska! After graduating from UW Madison she and her significant other thought that our northernmost state may be a cool place to live….and not just literally! Luckily for us they decided to return to this area. Janessa has done some travelling, having visited 11 countries so far. Ukraine is perhaps her favorite.
Karrie Hahn Director of Programs – Minnesota, FSB
Karrie comes to us from Chileda where she spent the past 25 years. Part of that experience included overseeing the COA reaccreditation process so she could not have come at a better time. She has a BS in Sociology, a Masters in Rehab Counseling as well as an MBA. She is a Green Bay native, so despite all the education you probably know which football team she roots for! Karrie has 5 kids – 4 boys and one girl – and in her off hours she loves to knit, travel and hike. Her family recently visited the Grand Canyon which she described as spectacular.
Emily St. Sauver-Jackson Case Manager, Healthy Families La Crosse
Emily was referred by Jackie Miller in Viroqua. The two met while going to school and have continued to be friends – Thanks, Jackie! Emily just finished her BSW at Winona St, and before that went through the Human Services program at WWTC. She has worked with adults and children before coming to FCC so serving families through the Healthy Families program feels like a perfect fit. Emily doesn’t see herself having kids of her own, but if you see her outside of work she will likely be hanging out with one of her nieces or nephews.
Sarah Kafer MH Practitioner, Day Treatment
Sarah was attracted to her part time role in Day Treatment, feeling the flexibility was a benefit she will value as she prepares for baby number 1. She has done a number of jobs serving people, both adults and children – and looks forward to applying her skills. She is originally from a small town near Decorah, and received a degree in Psychology at the University of Northern Iowa. While growing up Sarah’s experience could have come from Lisa Clarkin’s home…she is number 4 of 5 girls. Sarah does not know the gender of the baby that is coming, but if you had to guess…..
