Ellen Hongerholt Major Gifts Officer, Development 
There was only one person in Orientation today, and she has already been working for a bit so you may have seen her around. Ellen Hongerholt is an area native having grown up in Lake City MN. She initially planned to be a theater major at Winona State, ended up enjoying her communication classes so she became a Mass Communication/Public Relation major with a minor in Sociology. Ellen’s heart is really in fundraising work and she ultimately earned her master’s in Philanthropy and Development, having worked on a great number of campaigns around the area. She has 5 kids who are all grown now, and two of them were boys she adopted from Africa when they were each 14. Ellen has also been bike riding a great deal – she and her husband have logged over 2500 miles this year!
