Thank you for raising this concern.
We know that the rising cost of living is impacting many of our staff, and we understand how challenging it can be to balance a commitment to work you care deeply about with financial realities.
We truly value the dedication and passion our staff bring to this organization every day, and we never want compensation to feel misaligned with that commitment.
As a nonprofit, we do operate within funding constraints, but that does not lessen the importance of ensuring our compensation is as fair and competitive as possible. We know there is always room to improve, and we are always looking at how our rates for services and contract work can be improved that allows us to improve pay. In practice you see that in the annual increases we have given. While an argument could be made that a merit increase system may be better, when we are limited to the size of increases we have been able to afford, an across-the-board increase seems to be the most reasonable approach.
Thank you again, for reaching out and sharing your concerns.
