Just a quick reminder to use your 2019 vacation hours before the end of the year. Two important things you should know:
- Vacation carryover is limited to 60 hours for full time employees and 30 hours for part time employees.
- The cutoff is January 4, 2020. Vacation hours used BEFORE that date will count towards your 2019 balance; hours taken after that will count as 2020 vacation.
We want everyone to make sure they are taking time off, but we also want to make sure you are talking with your Supervisor to determine coverage requirements. As you can imagine, everyone tries to use their extra hours at the end of the year and it can cause issues. Don’t let that happen to you so please talk to your Supervisor and plan ahead!
