We recently received an inquiry regarding expected steps in the event Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents present themselves at FCC locations, and also received a Speak Out on this topic. We have put together some information for staff as well some guidelines you can provide clients.
Resources
FCC has developed new tools outlining what to do if immigration enforcement is present at an FCC location, in the community, or at a client’s home.
These materials are intended to:
- Provide clear, step-by-step direction for staff
- Support staff and client rights and dignity
- Reduce uncertainty during stressful situations
- Ensure consistent organizational response
Please take time to review the documents on the Depot > Documents & Forms >All Agency. The documents include:
- #17 client-facing flowchart that can be given to clients
- #18 staff flowchart outlining approved actions
