Healthy Families is growing and expanding!
FCC applied for and has been selected as one of the recipients of a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health for Strong Foundations: Evidence-based Family Home Visiting. There were more applicants than grants awarded so we are gratified to be one of the recipients. This 5-year grant represents one of the largest one-time state grants the agency has ever received.
Local media outlets are invited to hear the impact of the historic grant during an upcoming press event set for Tuesday, September 5, at 10 a.m. at FSB where Tita will deliver remarks and answer questions about how this will impact children, adults, and families in Winona and surrounding communities.
The Healthy Families home visiting program will serve 40 families in Winona County with early intervention and prevention services for children ages birth to five. The goal is to promote the well-being of children, prevent abuse and neglect, and help stop the cycle of abuse.
