- Who inspires you?
One of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen and one of the most compassionate people I have met; my mother is an inspiration to me. Whenever I’ve felt down or disheartened, she has always been there to help me look at the silver-lining and inspires me to push on.
- If you could have dinner with any famous person, who would you choose?
I would have dinner with John Stewart because I enjoy his sense of humor and feel that the conversation wouldn’t get boring.
- Where is your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is anywhere nature is. Beauty can be found almost anywhere if you look for it hard enough, but my favorite place has to be in the woods, isolated from societal constructs and the responsibilities of life.
- What animal do you think most closely matches your personality?
I think an owl matches my personality the most. It’s wise, solitary, doesn’t want to be in loud crowds that cackle and chirp incessantly, but also likes to socialize with others ‘hoo’ get it.
- What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
The craziest thing I have ever done was to accidentally ‘hack’ my school’s computer system. I was trying to play a joke on a friend and shut his computer off during class, but instead of shutting only his computer off, the command I put in the computer shut all of the computers off in the entire K-12 school the next day after sending a funny message that said “I’m watching you” after T -30 seconds all of them shut down. Moral of the story, if you work in IT, don’t give everybody administrative privileges.
- What is part of your daily routine that you look forward to every day?
I enjoy being able to shower every day. It’s nice.
- What is one hobby you would love to get into?
I would like to get into artistic drawing. I think it would be amazing to accurately depict what you are thinking about.
- What is your secret talent that no one knows about?
I can do freestanding push-ups.
- If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Genetic engineering. I think it would be cool to fix diseases, or to add things like wings to people so they could fly or gills so they could breathe underwater.
- What is your favorite family tradition?
My favorite family tradition is at Christmas time, our family is German and we have a tradition of putting a pickle ornament on the tree. It’s hidden well and the first person to find it on Christmas day, gets to open their presents first.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?
I like to go hiking with my dog.
- What is the coolest thing you are working on right now in your Program?
The air conditioner.

Sausage/pineapple/pepperoni/hot sauce
- Spring, summer, fall or winter: What’s your favorite season and why?
I like spring the most, there is hope for better weather, you can do anything you want outside, any kind of clothing can be worn, wildlife is more active, and there are less insects.
- If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?
A huge house that was at least seven stories high on top of a mountain so I could see for miles around me all over.
- What activity helps you relieve stress?
Going for walks/golfing/playing soccer/swimming/going for a drive
