Who inspires you?
I am inspired by any individual who upholds their personal values, have excellent work ethics, and live every day with integrity.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, who would you choose?
Benoît Mandelbrot, the “Father of Fractals”. We would dine at an Imax theater with the Mandelbrot Set rolling on the screen. Exhilarating! Riveting! (Check it out on YouTube LOL)
Where is your favorite place in the world?
To date, it is lying/floating on the Caribbean Sea in Grenada, West Indies.
What animal do you think most closely matches your personality? Vixen (female fox): I have a curious personality, am always active, never go out of my way to harm others, a sharp mind and equally sharp tongue, and I utilize subtlety and cunning over brute strength.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
1980 Mud wrestling.
What is part of your daily routine that you look forward to every day?
Watching Grey’s Anatomy in front of my wood burning fireplace. Ahhhh, self-care!
What is one hobby you would love to get into?
Living on a hobby farm…gardening, mowing with a rider or tractor, chopping wood, and raising chickens.
What is your secret talent that no one knows about?
I shoot target with a Ruger Mark II and a Springfield Hellcat. I also have a Smith & Wesson AirWeight 317 revolver. I have earned the NRA recognition for Distinguished Expert pistol qualification and will begin shooting competitive target when the meets start up again.

What is your favorite family tradition?
Watching The Nutcracker with my 29 year old son…every year since he was born. One year we watched “together” on YouTube…it was 3am for me and he was in Thailand!

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?
Being single-handedly industrious on home projects, i.e. repair sagging gate, firepit, build kayak rack that allows draining, install clothesline, mortise and install interior/exterior doors, grade for concrete, lay pavers (nearly epic fail! lol), and shovel 6 tons of landscape rock.

Working with substance use disorders population…I love it!
What do you like on your pizza?
Favorite is a large “regular” (Pepperoni/sausage) at Mabe’s Pizza in Decorah.
Spring, summer, fall or winter: What’s your favorite season and why?
It is a tie. Spring – lilacs, Fall – the leaves turning colors and the smell of burning leaves (yes, I am old, no one burns them anymore!).
If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?
A “Paid In Full” note for my student loans!
What activity helps you relieve stress?
Shooting target and riding my motorcycle.
