I have been with the organization since July 2018 and am starting to know just enough to make me dangerous! My office is located in Winona and I provide oversight to ARMHS, Matty’s Place, Safe Visitation, Day Treatment (Adolescent, Bridges and Elementary, Mid-Level, Winona Youth Night Campus), Rochester Youth Night Campus, Hiawatha Hall, Youth Act, Tracking, and Outpatient.
I have spent the first 3 months of my time here focused on getting to know staff, the day-to-day operations, program outcomes, and challenges/barriers that staff and programs are facing. Once things are more consistent internally, my plan is to turn my focus more outward to build and grow relationships in the Winona Community. This has already begun with Winona Health’s Behavioral Health Department. I have a strong operational and administrative background, but please have patience with me when it comes to remembering all of the acronyms that are used at FCC!!
The best compliment I have ever been given was, “what you see is what you get”. I believe in coaching staff to be the best version of themselves professionally. I hope to challenge and support staff, and have a little fun while we do it.
My family and I live in Holmen with our two dogs Layla and Lena. We are very involved in baseball, soccer, softball, gymnastics and girl scouts. When I am not working and driving my kids to their activities, I am at my happiest when I am physically active. I love to run and have completed 12 half marathons, I enjoy yoga and hope to one day become an instructor, and love going to Burn Bootcamp.
Lastly – thanks to everyone here at FCC who has helped me along this journey. I look forward to working with you in the future! — Sarah
