This week, Family & Children’s Center recognizes National Forensic Interviewer Week and the vital role of our Child Advocacy Center teams at Stepping Stones (La Crosse, WI) and Matty’s Place (Winona, MN).
Our forensic interviewers are specially trained professionals who create a safe, child-friendly space for kids to share their experiences of possible abuse or violence. These interviews are neutral, non-leading, culturally sensitive, and legally sound. They help reduce trauma by minimizing the number of times a child has to tell their story.
FCC and the communities we serve are truly grateful for the unwavering dedication and compassion of our forensic interviewers. Click HERE to learn more about this vital program and the impact it makes.
