FCC Wins at La Crosse SOUP!

On Tuesday, July 25, Family & Children’s Center delivered a pitch to attendees at La Crosse SOUP.

Participants paid $5 for a bowl of soup, bread and a vote. After pitches were delivered by community organizations and initiatives to make La Crosse a better place to live and work, participants voted on which one they wanted to win the SOUP dollars.

We asked for support in helping our Independent Living Program create “Transition Totes” for youth who are aging out of foster care. These totes are full of essential basic needs to help young adults start life on their own.

Family & Children’s Center was chosen as the big winner for the night and will be awarded $1,900 for our project!

Thanks to everyone who came out to show your support and big shout out to Vanessa for rocking the mic to deliver our pitch!
