On Tuesday, May 19th, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) held a ceremony recognizing those who work in the mental health field and presented awards to those who have gone above and beyond. Three of Family & Children’s Center Staff were recognized.
Kathy Rohr was named the recipient of the Mental Health Professional of the Year Award for her work with NAMI In Our Own Voice project, as well as her work in spearheading the design of the WRIC CSP program and overseeing FCC’s IPS Supported Employment Program.
Ken Weinberg (left) and John Cox (right) were both recipients of the Consumer of the Year Award for their work starting and staffing The Other Door Drop-In Center in Vernon County.
Congratulations to all of our award winners and special thanks to all of our staff who work every day advocating for those struggling with mental illness.
