As we move closer to the end of 2015, please be aware of the following:
1. Vacation Policy Reminder
An FCC employee can carry over 40 hours or less of vacation from one year to the next. Both full-time and part-time employees earn vacation time.
Please make plans for vacation time off between now and the cutoff date, 1/9/16, so you don’t lose any vacation hours. Available vacation hours are identified on the top portion of every pay stub. Pay stubs are e-mailed to all FCC e-mail accounts on the next Friday after the end of a pay period.
The most important part of this message for all FCC employees is that you take advantage of your earned vacation time. It is a benefit you work hard for, and taking time off is a key to good overall well-being. Do it for yourself – you deserve it!
2. Upcoming Holidays At FCC
FCC will be closed on the following dates:
- Thanksgiving Day (11/26)
- The Day After Thanksgiving (11/27)
- Christmas Eve Day (12/24)
- Christmas Day (12/25)
- New Year’s Day (1/1/16)
***Employees who are required to work the holiday (11/26, 11/27, 12/24, 12/25, or 1/1/16) will be paid twice their regular rate (double time) for holiday hours worked.
If you have questions regarding these holidays, please contact your supervisor or Melissa Duin at GVC ext. 281.
3. In-Kind Gifts Acceptance Policy
When accepting an in-kind gift to any of Family & Children’s Center’s programs, an in-kind gift form must be completed. (An in-kind donation is any non-monetary gift to the agency.) The form ensures that 1. it is documented correctly for our tax purposes and 2. a thank you letter is sent to the donor (this includes tax language for their tax purposes). This form can be found here the FCC Depot under Resources-Documents and Forms on drop down menu.
