Who guessed Brittanie Hundt? If you did, you are correct! Brittanie is a Supported Employment Case Manager and has been at FCC since May of 2019. We are SO lucky to have her on our team! She is currently in an interesting position in her program as the Supported Employment Demonstration participants will start gradually transitioning out of the demonstration study this December. For this reason, Brittanie is collaborating with the participants to discuss their transition plan and start reflecting on their work together.
When Brittanie is not working hard at FCC, she really enjoy spending time with her family and friends. Many of her family members live in the surrounding areas, so she enjoys getting together with them. She also enjoys visiting her friends in the Twin Cities and Chicago.

Who inspires you?
- My mom truly inspires me. Her endless compassion, tenacity, and thoughtfulness continues to amaze me! She is one of those people who makes you want to be a better person.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, who would you choose?
- Right now, I’d want to have dinner with Michelle Obama and/or Brené Brown.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
- I love to travel, and I look forward to being able to travel again. One of my favorite and most impactful travel experiences was when I studied abroad in South Africa and was able to go back a couple years later to visit by friend who was living near Johannesburg.
What animal do you think most closely matches your personality?
- My cat, Amani, matches my personality pretty well (although, she is much more dramatic)!
What is part of your daily routine that you look forward to every day?
- My favorite part of my daily routine is when I get up to do a couple of minutes of yoga in the morning before starting my day and when I am able to sit and spend time with my husband and our cat.
What is one hobby you would love to get into?
- I really enjoy photography, and I would love to take a photography class to learn more about lighting and using my camera.
What is your secret talent that no one knows about?
- I took dance classes for 15 years and continued to dance in college. I enjoyed ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, partnering, and pointe.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
- I would love to become an expert in gardening. I really enjoy caring for plants, and I have several plants that are thriving, but I also have a couple that are really struggling.
What is your favorite family tradition?
- I come from a large family, and we are BIG on celebrations of all kinds! I love that we can always find a reason to celebrate.
What do you like on your pizza?
- I like pretty much anything on my pizza! I really like trying different kinds of pizza and unique varieties. I especially enjoy goat cheese on pizza.
Spring, summer, fall or winter: What’s your favorite season and why?
- My favorite season is fall because I love the fall colors, warm fall beverages, fall foods, wearing warm scarves and sweaters, and because I got married in the fall!
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?
- If I won the lottery, I would pay off student loans and buy a house.
What activity helps you relieve stress?
- I really enjoy practicing mindfulness in multiple ways including mindful breathing, cooking, mindful eating, mindful walks, and while spending time with loved ones. I define mindfulness as paying attention to the present moment, on purpose and without judgement. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, photography, yoga and going on hikes.
What is your favorite dessert?
- I don’t really have a favorite dessert, but a new dessert that I recently tried and really enjoyed was the blueberry lavender cake from Meringue Bakery and Café downtown La Crosse.
Where were you born? What is an interesting fact about your hometown?
- I was born in La Crosse, but grew up in Sparta, WI. Sparta is the Bicycling Capital of America.
