FCC Staff are innovating every day!  Read on for stories about their creative solutions:

  • Staff at Weston Youth Home improved the way client medications are stored by making the switch from standard pill bottles to blister packs.  They utilized Genoa Pharmacy, located within GVC, who can fill any pill prescription as a blister pack.  The facilities team installed a new style of medication cabinets to store the new packs.  Using blister packs rather than standard pill bottles greatly reduces the likelihood of medication errors.
  • Craig Putz shared his creative talent with clients in Rochester, teaching them to make homemade dog treats.  He was able to come up with a new and different activity for programming, and share his passion with the clients.
  • Staff in Day Treatment, along with our EHR Project Manager Sarah, worked to improve a form in Procentive that had originally been very long and was causing the computer to run very slowly.  They were able to break down the form into smaller pieces, drastically reducing the amount of time it takes for them to complete it each day.
  • The Development team began soliciting 3 bids for printing projects rather than 1 or 2, and saved $800 on the spring appeal.
  • Staff in Revenue Cycle created a web page that provides tools for their internal customers- program staff who bill for their services.  This improves the odds of FCC being paid accurately.

Great job to all the employees involved in these innovative solutions!
