CAVID Vaccination Update

The availability of information from local sources has been flowing quite quickly, and I want to add some further information for everybody regarding vaccinations.

  • Receiving vaccinations will be done on your time as with any other medical procedure. So be sure to clock in and out
  • We are underway for getting vaccinations and/or scheduled visits in Viroqua and Black River Falls
  • For employees in the Winona and La Crosse offices, we will be supplying names to the counties that includes employees in both sites. Our intent is to get access to the first available location where vaccination appointments are offered. If you are contacted and asked where you work all you have to say is you work for Family & Children’s Center.
  • If you are scheduled for an appointment please be sure to keep it. If a problem comes up let me know, but we want to make sure we doing everything we can to make schedules go well.
  • Starting this afternoon and continuing next week, employees at our facilities in La Crosse and Winona who are interested in a vaccination will be sent a link to register for vaccination by La Crosse County. These notices will be sent in priority order as requested by the county health department, and the process will begin with employees who have direct client contact. All interested employees will eventually be asked to register. The agency is viewed as a 1a entity overall, but within our employee group some roles are considered to be more critical than others.
  • Please confirm with me if you have been vaccinated. I am keeping a list of employees waiting for a vaccination and want to make sure everybody that wants a round 1 vaccination gets one.

The activity around vaccinations will continue to be pretty dynamic for the next couple weeks so your cooperation is appreciated!
