The Blue Kids are back to help FCC raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The latest report from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families shows that in 2024 there were over 31,00 unique Child Protective Service (CPS) maltreatment reports that impacted nearly 27,000 children in Wisconsin. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Department of Human Services received an average of 728 maltreatment reports PER MONTH from April 2024 to March 2025. By planting Blue Kids throughout April, FCC offers a visual representation of not only the great number of children who endure abuse, but our community’s commitment to stand in solidarity with them and their families.
