OVERCOMING THE SPRINGTIME BLUES

People think of spring as a positive time–the weather is warmer, flowers and plants come back to life, and the welcomed end of winter’s confinement finally arrives. However, springtime is also known to be the most common season for depression to occur. Depression has a broad range of symptoms; from generalized feelings of low energy to various physical symptoms such as disturbed sleep patterns and/or eating habits. If you feel you are experiencing the springtime “blues,” consider calling your Employee Assistance Program at 608-775-4780 or 1-800-327-9991. EAP is a confidential, free service provided by Family & Children’s Center. Visit us online at www.gundersenhealth.org/eap.
