Getting Any Sleep?
People exposed to prolonged periods of shortened sleep have significant increases in blood pressure during nighttime hours, Mayo Clinic researchers report. During sleep, the immune system releases proteins called cytokines which helps us deal with stress, fight infections and decrease inflammation in the body.
