Trauma Responses and The Brain/Body Connection

Presenter: Cory Kitt

This presentation will introduce participants to:

What the brain and body do during fight/flight/freeze/fawn to ensure physical and emotional safety.

The effects that brain development have on emotional responses through the life stages

The idea of utilizing “dosing” as a means of ensuring successful use of coping skills.

Life is complex and, at times, difficult with no manual to show the way through and forward—understanding how the brain works and what it does to protect us empowers individuals to see a path forward and to own the power of their brain and body!

Ms. Kitt looks forward to spending the evening with you as she shares her experiences with trauma-informed and trauma-focused work to support people in finding their power within.
