Long Term Disability

Long term disability insurance protects a portion of your income. It can pay you a monthly benefit if you can’t work – for an extended period of time – due to a covered injury or illness. Long term disability insurance can pay a benefit as long as you are considered disabled according to your policy. The amount of benefit you receive from the plan may be reduced or offset by income from other sources – such as Social Security Disability Insurance.

Long term disability insurance is available to part and full-time staff at the time of hire and/or at the open enrollment period each September, with coverage effective October 1st. Insurance is provided by Mutual of Omaha.
